Question: Which models can the HUD work on?
Answer: It can work on all models that meet OBD2 standard (all models produced after 2007 in China and after 1995 in
European meet OBD2 standard).
Question: When I use my HUD for the first time, why the HUD displays "000" after resetting the HUD?
Answer: It means that your car is not OBD standard and the HUD is not working on your car.
Question: Where is OBD car diagnostic interface ?
Answer: Normally,it is located between the steering wheel and Brake pedal, the location should be within the
driver’s reach .If you still can not find the diagnostic interface, please call the local 4S shop.
Question:What’s the procedure of Installation and removal of the HUD ?
Answer: installation steps:( pls install in serious accordance with the following steps to avoid damage of the
machine)
Step 1. Turn off the engine key.
Step 2. Connect the HUD and, OBD diagnostic cable properly.
Step 3. Put OBD diagnostic cable in the right way to ensure safe, reliable and attractive.
Step 4. Insert the OBD data line plug into the car OBD interface.
Step 5. Switch HUD ON .
Step 6. Start the engine to scan
Removal steps: Turn off the ignition key, then pull out the OBD plug on the diagnostic cable
Question: Why the HUD is working well on one car but stop working when switch to another car ? How to do "restore factory
settings"?
Answer: When the HUD is working on one car for the first time, it needs to scan and pair with the car by locking the model’s
communication protocol to ensure the car. If you use change, it needs to do "restore factory settings", and another
repair with the other car.The steps of "restore factory settings" :
Step 1: Turn off the HUD .
Step 2: Hold down the OK button, and turn on the HUD at the same time.
Step 3: When the right top area of the HUD shows "0", the lower left area of the HUD shows "0",
restore factory setting completes.
Question: Why is the HUD always remind coolant temperature alarm? How to set the temperature alarm function?
Answer: The default setting value of coolant temperature alarm of automobile engine on HUD is 100 ℃,the value is for
ordinary cryogenic engine, but for a heat engine or turbo charging models (Such as: Cruze, Smart models), the
normal operating temperature will exceed 100 ℃, So the coolant temperature alarm value is recommended to
raise to 110 ℃ .Operation steps are as follows: Start the car, after the HUD is normally work, toggle the button
to the system setting interface, press the OK button to enter the setup menu.
Question: How to calibrate it if the instant fuel consumption value is inaccurate ?
Answer:Pls manually calibrate the instantaneous fuel consumption coefficient if the instant fuelconsumption is inaccurate
the default coefficient is: 331. Users can calibrate it as per the vehicle situation . Calibrating steps are as follows:
Start the car, after the HUD is normally work, toggle the button to the system setting interface, press the OK button
to enter the setup menu.
Easy setting: Different output volume have different instant fuel consumption coefficient, you have to set theresponding
instant fuel consumption coefficient, the system default 1.6L emission instant fuel consumption coefficient331. When
driving, if find the instant fuel consumption is inaccurate, the usercan set instant fuel consumption coefficient by
themselves. Please choose the right car with right output volume. Below is the instant fuel consumption coefficient
for different output volume (only for gasoline car):
Output volume: under 0.9 Instant fuel consumption coefficient:167
Output volume: 1.00-1.09, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 208
Output volume: 1.10-1.19, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 229
Output volume: 1.20-1.29, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 250
Output volume: 1.30-1.39, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 270
Output volume: 1.40-1.49, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 291
Output volume: 1.50-1.59, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 312
Output volume: 1.60-1.79, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 331
Output volume: 1.80-1.99, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 350
Output volume: 2.00-2.39, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 372
Output volume: 2.40-2.69, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 395
Output volume: 2.70-2.99, Instant fuel consumption coefficient: 455
Question: when using the HUD, why the indicator lights on the dashboard are abnormally lighted (such as: airbag light, ABS
light, electronic clock slows down)?
Answer: Because the HUD supports many communication protocols, while each car is generally supports only one
communication protocol, and the diagnostic interface on the car is not strictly defined in accordance with OBD
standard, so it would lead to this situation. According to the communication protocol of the car, deal with the HUD’s
OBD connector mental pins as follows: [Communication mode: ISO15765, retain metal pins 4,5,6,14,16], [
Communication mode: ISO14230 KWP2000, retain metal pins 4,5,7,16], [communication mode: ISO9141-2, retain
metal pins 4,5,7,16], other metal pins can be cut off.
The first number is: 1 (protocols: ISO9141-2), 2 (Protocol: ISO15765), 3 (Protocol: ISO14230KWP2000), the second
number indicates the sub-protocols number of the protocol, such as "1 - 1" indicates that it currently scans to a first
communication protocol of ISO9141-2
Question: When using the HUD, why sometimes the engine misfire?
Answer: HUD is default smart shutdown mode (when the vehicle speed and rotate speed are both 0,15 seconds later the
HUD automatically shutdown), restart the car after HUD shut down .
Question: How to detect and clear vehicle fault codes ?
Answer: After the vehicle starts and HUD automatically boots, the system will automatically clear the vehicle fault, then
detected the vehicle fault, if the fault of the vehicle is sporadic or temporary failure, the system will automatically
clear them,if it is permanent fault ,then it must be resolved through the maintenance. HUD ‘s buzzer and screen
will flash to do fault alarms, and toggle up and down button to read the fault code information.HUD will automatically
detect fault every 30 minutes.
Question: If the vehicle is not used for a long time, will the HUD lead to large battery power consumption?
Answer: Generally speaking, HUD's power consumption is very low and does not affect the vehicle's battery power, we
recommend to turn off the HUD if the vehicle is not used for a long time .
Question: why the HUD is still not shut down 5 minutes after the vehicle flamed out? Usually how long will the HUD shut down?
Answer: Generally, HUD will automatically shut down after 30 seconds when the vehicle flamed out. But the specific
shutdown mtime is determined by the electronic control system shutdown time of different vehicles , some
vehicle electronic control system shutdown time is long ,it takes about five minutes or so, so the owner can
safely leave after closing Ignition key,HUD will automatically shutdown.
Question: Will the HUD display normally in summer when the temperature inside the car is too high ?
Answer: The HUD working temperature: -40 ℃ to 85 ℃, it can work normally both in summer and winter .
Question: Why is the speed displayed on the HUD is lower than the car dashboard displays ?
Answer: For traffic safety ,automobile factory have the original car odometer speed 5% higher than the actual speed , which is
why some people has not been photographed speeding when he drives at 130Km / h on the highway, in fact, the real
speed is 120Km / h at this time. Pls refer to below automobile factorymandatory standards of original car odometer
speed setting .
